Birthday balloons

Just received an order from Papertrey Ink which included the Up, Up and Away stamp set and had to create something with it.  I cased a card on Nichole's blog for this layout.

The balloon is paper pieced and I cut out the clouds from felt.  I can see this set getting a lot of use!

PTI May blog hop

Hi and thanks for peeking.  The challenge this month was to use felt and I've made 2 cards.

The first uses some layered flowers I cut with my Cricut. I used the deep cut blade and stabilised the felt with heat 'n bond first. I hand stitched around the edges of the flowers to give them some definition and the leaves come from YOF violets:

The second card is a congratulations card for a friend who just bought a new house.  I designed the house using SCAL (super easy - just weld a square, triangle and rectangle together).  Used a strip of paper from the Green Boutique pad and scor-tape to create the glitter strip.

Scraptastic button bits

Thought I'd try out a card with blooming button bits and my new tiny tags epoxy stickers instead of buttons. This will work well for mailing I think. I cut the small circles with my cricut and the George cartridge. Another card made using scraps - my stash is slowly being reduced!

Asian fusion

Here is a simple card using two of the images from PTI's asian fusion.  I like the combination of  kraft with the black white and red.  The white border is stamped with versamark and then embossed using white powder as I don't have a white ink!

Supplies
Paper - SU kraft
Stamps - PTI asian fusion
Ink - Memento black, SU riding hood red, versamark
Accessories - white embossing powder
