Got a few birthdays coming up in the next month, so I need to get on to some card making. Here's one featuring Papertrey Ink's Beautiful brushstrokes which is still one of my favourite sets.

Still working on my travel album from the UK. This turned out to be one of my favourite layouts. Managed to find some free Photo Booth templates for Photoshop Elements which made putting together these photos super easy.

Not sure where the year is going, but I'm keeping up to day with my album. Here's a spread from June, again using my Studio Calico kits.  I recently started a subscription with Ali Edwards' Story Kits and am really impressed with the kits so far. Will share some layouts soon:

Wallace Collection

I haven't been to the Wallace Collection in years - probably about 20 to be exact! This time I went back and spent a few happy hours enjoying the collection. Definitely worth seeing.

Barbican

Only went to the theatre once this trip, but it was a great performance of Henry IV Part 1, preceded by a fascinating backstage tour. Definitely something I'd do again.

There's another MIM challenge over on Nichole's blog - letting some of the inside decoration on a card to show through to the outside. What a fun idea!

I had to make a card for one of my cousins so decided to play along. Using Mini Blooms and some dies from the Shakers& Sprinkles kit.  Here's what I came up with:

Streets of London

Time for another layout from my travel album.

Lots of favourite moments and places in London. Here are just a couple. I had some London themed paper but thought the colour wasn't quite right for the layout. The solution - to use some vellum on top - love the soft look. Other papers from Studio Calico's Lisse Street add-on kits and some old Stampin Up paper from my stash.

Weekend away

Here's another layout from my UK travel album. Fantastic weekend in a luxurious B & B - lovely for a treat.

I've been enjoying using some of my Studio Calico kits. I've got a lot of use from the Park Ave Scrapbook kit - the colours have worked very well for this album.

Have a purrfect day

I have a few cat-loving friends, so thought a few cards like this wouldn't come amiss. The cat stamp is from Papertrey Ink, the wreath from a Studio Calico set I picked up in a sale.  Colouring with copics.

More cards

Needed a few more cards for my stash so used a few Project Life kits supplies for these. Quick and easy! These are mostly Gossamer Blue kits, with a few extras from my stash.

Pretty pleased with how these turned out.

London calling

A Boden catalogue from last year turned out to be a very useful addition to my UK travel album. Combined with washi from my stash, and some embellishments from Studio Calico. I've been saving up some items that I thought would be useful for this album.

Here's another layout from my UK travel album. This was a weekend I spent near Chichester - fabulous villages and one of those clear crisp English days:

I had a great trip to the UK in January and have finally been working on my travel album. Normally I end up using a lot of 'travel' themed products for these sorts of albums, but for this album I've tried a different approach and have mostly used regular product, especially some paper and embellishments from recent Studio Calico kits. Love how these pages turned out!

And I just had to use this fabulous 'Everywhere' paper from SC.  It's actually 'scratch off' paper (country names can be revealed underneath the coating), although I couldn't bring myself to scratch it off in case I messed it up!

My Project Life 6x8

Here's the last spread from April. The left page shows Anzac Day.  I went to a Dawn Service for the first time in several decades! However, it was the Anzac Centenary so one of the times that I really wanted to attend.

It was an amazing service in the Domain, followed by a run with my running group (several of whom also attended the service).  A really memorable way to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of WW1.

I found a great poppy stamp in my collection for this spread.

On the right, are some more everyday type moments.   I was able to use one of the cute cat wood veneers from the Seven paper Baxter collection for one of Tortie's photos. I have a few more to use in coming months!

The stamp set this month is going to be very useful. I just liked the idea of using the whole set and stamping it all at once - to give an impression of how busy my month has been!

Well, on to my January album now. I've really been enjoying the Project Life process in 2014. My album is just about those simple, everyday moments - the kind you might not remember in years to come but which are really the basis of life.

When I saw this fabulous transparency in the Far Far Away kit, I knew I wanted to use it for my 2015 title page. Was originally thinking of layering it over a photo, but I love the look here:
