PTI Stamp-a-Faire - master colour challenge

The challenge - to create a project using one of the 'masters' inspired coloured schemes featured on Nichole's blog.  I chose this scheme, based on the gorgeous work by Renoir.

And here's what I came up with:

Butterfly card

Here's a card using Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Butterflies inspired by one of Laura Bassen's creations. I cut an inch off the card base so the butterflies could overlap the lining paper. Love this design and think I'll be using it again.

Make it Monday #246 - faux brush lettering

I'm trying to take part in more of the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenges. This week's challenge from Amy is to use faux brush lettering in a project - and I found it to definitely be a challenge! Great idea though, as I don't really like my handwriting ;)

I used PTI's Graceful greetings sentiment stamps with inks on watercolour paper - and here's what I came up with:

Happy birthday

Had so much fun with the latest Make it Monday challenge from Papertry Ink that I decided to make a couple more cards using the 'colour isolation' technique - using a neutral background and just using colour for a focal point.

Needed some more birthday cards for my stash, so this is what I came up with:

Just squeaking in with an entry for this week's MIM. Great technique from Ashley, and I managed to make a couple of extra cards as well.

PTI Make it Monday #244

Oops it's been a long time since I posted anything. Have been spending most of my time on Instagram. But here I am again to take part in this week's Make it Monday challenge- using score lines to add some texture.

And here's what I came up with - using PTI's Bold Blossoms stamps and dies and a sentiment die from Paper Smooches:

And a close up as the score lines aren't that easy to spot!

 I used Laurie's method of popping up the sentiment using a layer cut from fun foam and love the effect.

Birthday cards

Got a few birthdays coming up in the next month, so I need to get on to some card making. Here's one featuring Papertrey Ink's Beautiful brushstrokes which is still one of my favourite sets.

Here's another card featuring PTI's Beautiful Brushstrokes which would have to be one of my favourite sets ever. I cased a card by Danielle Flanders and love the look. Will definitely use this design again.

Floral birthday

There are a few birthdays coming up in the next few months. I never seem to have enough cards or the right cards on hand, so I thought it was a good idea to get caught up. This one features Ruby Rose from PTI. For the base I used a Project Life card - perfect size after a bit of trimming!

Time for some cards

Well I actually made a few cards this week. I need a few things for my stash - mainly birthday and thank you, plus some general greetings.

Beautiful Brushstrokes is one of my favourite sets. Here it is paired with some of the Wet Paints cuts, also from PTI.

PTI 8th anniversary challenges - day 7

Time for another challenge today. This one was to create a project that only contains metallics and neutrals.

For this card I broke out an impression plate - must use more of them! Here's what I came up with:

PTI 8th anniversary challenges - day 3

Time for another challenge over at Nichole's blog. PTI are releasing a new die for tags and today's challenge was to make a handmade tag and matching gift bag.

Here's a little ensemble for a friends who's really into her teas. The stamp is from Studio Calico - picked it up in the recent stamp sale and I think it'll come in handy.

Just a note

Here's another card using the Make it Market Beautiful Brushstrokes kit from PTI. Love the draft twine - thanks Danielle Flanders for the idea! The gorgeous patterned paper makes it so easy to put a card together.

Hello

I've been whipping up some more cards with PTI Make it Market kits. Here's one with the fabulous patterned paper from the Beautiful Brushstokes kit. Add a bit of washi tape and some of the twine and it's done:

Sprinkles on top

Yet another shaker card from a couple of weekends ago when I spent several hours in my craft room with Betsy Veldman's cute kit. Watch out everyone who knows me - I think you'll be getting a shaker card this year!

Meow

My aunt and a number of friends are cat lovers, so when I saw this cute cat stamp from PTI I knew it was coming home with me. Here's a grey tabby. Love that the image can be coloured or paper pieced to look like some of my favourite cats:
