My Project Life #14

Here's another page from my Project Life album. Love the combination of yellows and black and white which I've tried to incorporate in my journaling and filler cards:

And here's a close up of the cute rabbits:

Digital Project Life

I'm making a regular PL album for my niece but thought I'd also try my hand at a digital album. That way, once I give away the traditional album, I can still enjoy looking at some of the layouts I've created. For this album, I'm using Tracy Larsen's Simply White Life Pages and other photoshop templates she's created. You can check out Tracy Larsen's shop here.

I think I'll be using a mixture of papers and elements, including some journaling cards I made myself using Anika's scripts. But for the introductory page, I used some of the papers and elements from a gorgeous Maggie Holmes digital kit you can find here at AC Digitals.

I'm really enjoying using Photoshop Elements and want to improve my photo editing skills. I think the digital layouts will give me a great opportunity to do that. So without further ado, here's the first layout and look forward to sharing lots more!

Create your own journaling cards

Thanks to Anika for a great class on how to create journaling cards using colour palettes created at and Photoshop templates and scripts that Anika has created. You can sign up for the class here.

The automation scripts which Anika has written make it so easy and quick to create cards for Project Life or other scrapbooking. Thanks Anika!

And here are some of the cards I created:

Overlays are from Mel Stampz - she has a great selection of free overlays and papers. Can't wait to use these in some layouts!

My Project Life #12

This is one of my favourite spreads - love the combination of the photos and journaling and filler cards which I tried to coordinate.

Here's the teddy filler card which uses PTI's Polka Dot Parade #11

My Project Life #11

I've used several of Tracy Larsen's photoshop templates here - makes it so easy to crop photos and journal on them:

And here's a close up of the date card I made using PTI's Just the Ticket and Tremendous Treats: Birthday:

My Project Life #10

There are a variety of embellishments on these pages. I used some digital files to create journaling and filler cards and also printed off the large deer image, fussy cut and covered it with crystal effects to make my own glossy looking sticker.  The fox on the left hand page is stamped and paper pieced:

Here's a close up of the deer:

My Project Life #9

It's been a while since I posted any pages from the Project Life album I'm doing for my niece. I've caught up with photos again, so here is  a recent spread. Love the butterflies!

And a closeup of that filler card. The butterflies are acrylic embellishments from Heidi Swapp:
