I haven't used PTI's 'Enjoy the Ride' set for a while so thought it was about time I pulled it out again. I made a couple of cards - here's the one with 'girly' colours:

Birthday boy

Vintage valentine

There was another vintage card class at my local scrapbook store (thanks Kathleen!). Three hours of fun, five cards (though I actually ended up only doing four). Here's a little cutie (the feather comes off an earring!):

Fabric just because

I recently submitted some cards to a publication call from Cards Magazine. One  got picked up (yay!) but here's one that didn't get accepted.  It features some fabric scraps from one of my favourite designers ever, Amy Butler.

Make it Monday #6

Two in a row. Can't believe it. Mind you, just sneaking in with this one. It's already Monday here (thank goodness for the international date line).  This week's Make it Monday challenge was to use a partial debossing technique. Actually mine's a partial embossing technique using a cuttlebug folder. I do have some PTI impression plates, but didn't have one which went with this frame.  Here's what I came up with:

I thought I'd take part in the Christmas Countdown on the papertrey Ink forums - trying to spread the making of Christmas cards and gifts throughout the year, rather than leaving it all to November!

Beautiful blooms

I love the 'Restoration' line from Crate Paper - gorgeous patterned papers and accents.  Here is a card I made using some of the papers. I really like the fact that even the 6 x 6 pad is double sided!  I haven't added a sentiment to the card yet as I haven't decided who to send it to:

Make it Monday #5

I've finally had time to make a card for a Make it Monday challenge over at PTI - mainly because this was something I'd already started working on!  This week's challenge is to incorporate distressed edges. I used some white ink around the edges of this card and also distressed the top layer. I didn't want anything that looked too distressed, so just used my fingernail!
