Altered recipe tin

My latest project is thanks to Jacque Pedersen who was offering an altered recipe tin virtual card class.  Loved the look of this and thought it would make a nice gift.  Here is my trial run.  The tin is the mini Provo Craft top loading tin.  Paper and stamps from Stampin' Up! The recipe cards are a bit fiddly but I'm using my tin for  special recipes that bring back great memories of friends and family who gave them to me and food I ate growing up!

Here is the box:

And the top:

The inside, with dividers:

And here is one of the recipe cards:

All in all, the project was a success and I'd do the tins again.  Of course, they needn't hold recipes - could be used to gift any small item.

Damask card

This card uses one of the stamps from PTI's giga guidelines set and I've used it to stamp my own background paper.  I'm going through a kraft and chocolate chip phase and just love the rich combination!  This was such an easy card to do and I think it's still  very effective.  The satin ribbon from SU just finishes it off. Perfect for any occasion!  I tied the bow using the Bow-easy.

Supplies
Paper - SU kraft
Stamps - PTI giga guidelines
Ink - SU chocolate chip
Accessories - SU satin ribbon, bow easy

Nook & Pantry cupcake

I just bought some of Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry paper and cute cupcake stamp.  Here is a simple card I made with the set.  Looking forward to trying out some different cupcakes - love the idea of all the separate  layers so you can have fun decorating the cupcake with different icing and toppings.  I can see this set is going to get a lot of use!

Supplies
Paper - SU chocolate chip, baja breeze, whisper white
Stamps - Basic Grey Nook & Pantry 'Cakes' Bitsy stamp set
Ink - SU chocolate chip

Butterfly card

Recently I found a butterfly template online.  Printed it out in a variety of sizes so I can layer the images.  Here is a simple card made with the middle size - the butterfly measures 9cm across the widest part of the wings.

Love the look of kraft card and brown, so I sponged the edges of the butterfly with chocolate chip.  The patterns on the wings are actually one of the flower centres from PTI's floral frenzy. The butterfly is popped out with a dimensional.

Supplies
Paper - SU kraft, chocolate chip, 6x6 paper pack
Stamps - PTI floral frenzy
Ink - SU chocolate chip
Accessories - button, linen thread, EK success embossed scallop border punch, dimensional

Rose tri-shutter card

Did I mention that I was addicted to SU's Bella Rose designer paper?  Just love the colour combinations!  Well here is another example I made a while ago, this time a tri-shutter card.  The images are from SU's 'A rose is a rose' stamp set and the sentiment is from the same set.

Supplies:
Stamps - SU A rose is a rose
Paper - SU chocolate chip, real red, kiwi kiss, Bella Rose designer paper
Ink - SU riding hood red, kiwi kiss
