Another vintage valentine

Here's yet another card from a vintage card class.  This one features 2 areas of flowersoft (on the hat and butterfly) which creates a lovely 3D effect. I think there'll be more of this to come!

Vintage Easter

I've been to another vintage card class at my local scrapbook shop. A fun session with lots of sewing this time. Here's one of the cards I made:

Here's a 'heart tree' card I made at a vintage card class a while ago.  This one incorporates a background made up of all kinds of paper and fabric scraps:

Curio birds

It's time to use up some scraps again. I found some pieces of pattenred paper from the Curio collection which perfectly on this card.  The chipboard pieces are also from the collection. No stamping!

Just because bling

Here's another card which didn't get picked up by Cards Magazine in a recent publication call. I just love these colours (inspired by Crate Paper's Restoration line) and these flower rosettes are super easy to make.  Gather ribbon (using a running stich close to one edge) and layer it on a circle die cut.  I adhered mine using scor tape but you could use fabric glue. Out a button or brad in the centre and you're done :)

Take 2 - vintage labels

When I find a sketch or colour combo that I like, I've started making 2 cards - 2 takes on the same layout or element. Here are a couple of cards I made recently which use Very Vintage Labels 5 from Waltzingmouse stamps.

I've decided I love this colour combination of grey, deep red and teal. Here's a card using PTI's Matstack 3 collection and a gorgeous balloon from Up Up and Away. Some days I wish I could fly away like this!!
