Sympathy

Recently, a friend asked me to make her a sympathy card.  I've had a beautiful handmade lace butterfly on hand for a while and thought this would be a perfect opportunity to it on a card.  This one also features some of my favourite Webster's Pages paper from the Hollywood Vogue collection - love those soft purples and greys:

I'm back

Yes, I'm finally back from my vacation. Had a wonderful time away but now I have a lot of catching up to do - catching up with friends, catching up with recent blog posts and above all I need to make some new cards! Here is one I whipped up this week. A CAS (or maybe clean and lazy?) number. I'll be back in a couple of days with another post, and hopefully a few more cards to share.

Today I  broke out Graphic 45's Steampunk Debutante collection. Love the colours  and patterns here. I want to incorporate a butterfly and thought I'd make my own with  fussy cut images from the paper and some crystal effects. Hard to see here, but the butterfly is very shiny IRL! I combined stamps from several sets to make the sentiment:
