I love PTI's Natural Beauties stamp set which was released for the Stamp-a-Faire weekend. Great 2 step stamp which produces images with nice shading and is so easy to use.

Just a note

Time for another birdy card. This bird is cut from felt - love that cozy texture. The woodgrain pattern  on the fence was stamped with versamark for a tone on tone effect.

PTI August blog hop

My herringbone stamp arrived just in the nick of time to whip up a quick card for the blog hop. Wow that stamp is huge! Glad I bought a Fiskars stamp press to use with my background stamps.

A friend gave me some cute crocheted frames so this seemed like the perfect time to out one to use.  Here's what I came up with:

Broke out Little Bitty Bird additions from PTI and whipped up a couple of cards. This is the first one. Think I'll send it to my Aunt who is very fond of all animals, especially birds. Flat and easy to mail which is good too.

I was looking for some ideas for PTI's Natural Beauties stamps, and came across this post from Danielle Flanders where she shared some lovely notecards. I decided I had to make some of my own! Love how they turned out and can't wait to either use them or give them away as a gift.

Fabulous frames here at work again - love that herringbone look. The flowers are from Botanical Silhouettes.

I'm enjoying using some of the pattern paper packs from PTI. A really easy way to add a splash of colour. I only have red and blue so far, so must get a few more!

PTI's Tag-its are really useful little tag sets that can be used for all kinds of projects. Here is one using the tag stamp as a focal point for a card. This came together quickly - just using up various bits of patterned paper for backgrounds.

Thinking of you

Looking for a few more useful everyday cards for my stash. The sentiment 'thinking of you' does duty for all kinds of occasions. This is a flat easy to mail card using the frame from PTI's new set Fabulous Frames. Can't wait to use more of these!

I used a cute new set from PTI called Trendy Tree Tops for this card. I can imagine all kinds of scenes using this set and it's so versatile. I'm adding this card to a set of assorted cards I'm making for a friend at work.

My PA is leaving work to go back to Australia so I made her a set of 10 assorted cards as a thank you gift.  Packaged them using a left over box from a PTI stamp set, decorated with a belly band and flower (made with the notched flower die).

I made a matching thank you card to go with the gift:

Tag set

A friend from work asked me to make her a set of tags she could use on gifts. I decided to make 2 sizes - small tags using PTI's Tiny Tags, and a slightly larger set using the smallest Spellbinders Labels 5 die and a coordinating stamp set from Waltzingmouse.  Here are my tags, along with a selection of twine:

And here's how I packaged the tags. The wrap is made out of 2 glassine bags sewn together. I cut the ends off to make a sort of portfolio.  The ribbon is also sewn on.

ATC cards

I recently went to a meeting of the Altered Book Club at my local scrapbook shop. It's a group which meets monthly, originally to learn about making altered books, but now almost exclusively to swap ATC cards, There's a different theme each month and about 15 turn up to swap ideas and catch up.

I had fun making my first ATC cards last month, so thought I'd do the same again.  This month's theme was 'weather' and these are the cards I ended up with. Great variety!

Yet another rose birthday card if you can stand it! This will be perfect for my Aunt who is a great gardener and likes traditional cards.
