Time for another tag. This is one which would be suitable for a birthday or for a general gift. For this one I used leftovers from all sorts of other projects. Love the cheery pop of colour from the butterflies. I think I mitt put a few tags together to give as a little gift. Watch this space!

A rose is a rose
I'm sadly lacking in inspiration or motivation to make cards at the moment. Card fatigue perhaps? I've decided to turn my attention to tags and other projects in the meantime and hope I'll feel more inspired soon! What do you do when your mojo is missing?
Anyway, here's a tag which features a couple of favourites - Papertrey's Tag Sale #4 die and an oldie but a goodie from Stampin Up called A Rose is a Rose. I stamped a page of the roses which I was going to use for a card front, but decided to go with a tag instead.
There's a second rose popped up on top to give a bit of dimension and there's space to write the name of the recipient on the back.

An apple a day?
I've been looking for some shaped card templates and came across a few at Paper Smooches. They come as a printable jpeg format, but if you have an electronic cutter you can trace the image and save it as a cut file which is what I did. Cute! Check out the other shaped card templates from Paper Smooches here.

Floral birthday
A colleague at work had her birthday on St Patricks Day. I wanted to make a card for her but was singularly lacking in inspiration. Melissa Phillips came to the rescue with her recent Make It Monday post on stamping with two colours. I CASEd Melissa's gorgeous card so hope Brigid will like this. I had to restamp the sentiment on a separate strip because it didn't show up very well on the main panel after I'd embossed it:

Easter bunnies
I was looking for inspiration for Easter cards and came across an adorable rabbit shaped card at the Cutting Cafe.
My Aunt loves animals and is feeling a bit under the weather at the moment, but I'm sure one of these will cheer her up:

Not enough time...
Seems like I have so much to do at the moment that it's a struggle to find time when I can get into the craft room! I've been sorting out things around the house and spending a lot of time in the garden weeding, picking fruit and dealing with all the other seasonal tasks.
Last week I also spent a few days trying to master Photoshop Elements. I've had it for a few years, but have just never had much time to sit and work through editing photos. For my birthday, a friend gave me a voucher for an A2 personalised canvas so I wanted to choose a photo for that. In case you're thinking the canvas sounds pretty small, it's not the US A2 card size but the international A2 which measures 40 x 60cm!
The photo I wanted to use wasn't quite large enough for the frame size, so I had to extend it and add on 4 sections for the wrapped areas. I found a couple of useful tutorials while I was at it. Check out Damien Symonds directions here and some instructions for extending areas of a photo here.
And here's the finished canvas. You'd never know that all wrapped areas were added on!

Craft space
I've turned part of the study into a craft space. Basically, that means I've taken over some shelves and a computer desk. It's pretty functional and it's nice to have a dedicated space (rather than using the dining table all the time!) but if I could start from scratch, I'd probably do things differently. No money to do that at present, but I've been collecting some ideas and dreaming.....
Here's the current setup. My craft desk and shelves to the right:
And a view from the door - craft desk to the right, computer desk straight ahead. There are two windows which take up a lot of wall space.
And here are some ideas for a reorganised space.
Obviously I haven't got room for a sofa or comfy chair, but I think I could make better use of the space by having one large built in corner desk. It would be good to have storage in some areas underneath and if the desk wrapped around two walls, I'd have a place for my laptop to sit, space for my sewing machine and and area for crafting. Maybe one day :)

A tag a day...
Well, not quite, but I did make one this week. This is a matching tag for the first Christmas card I tried out last week:
