I'm starting to gather some flatish embellishments which can be used on Project Life pages. Here are some die cuts I stamped and coloured with copics The stamps are from PTI's Tremendous Treats: Birthday.
Can't wait to add these to some layouts:

PTI July Blog Hop
Haven't taken part in a blog hop for a while but I liked the look of the colour combinations which are the inspiration for this month and thought I might have a go at a project or two. I used this inspiration photo
And here's what I came up with. It's not a card - it's an embellishment for the Project Life album I'm putting together to celebrate my niece's first year. Funny thing about this embellie - I made it for the Make it Monday spruce up your sentiments challenge - only of course there was no such challenge! Betsy Veldman's tips for using sentiments (which you can check out here) were for the Design Team Tips series. Oh well - at least I'm organised well in advance for the Blog Hop :)
Supplies
Paper - PTI stamper's select white; Project Life Designer Paper
Stamps - PTI Ruby Rose; Paper Smooches Pretty Phrases
Ink - Versafine onyx black; Amuse
Accessories - foam tape

Project Life haul
I've decided to get back into scrapbooking and thought I'd give Project Life a go this year. The main motivation for doing more is my little niece due in September and I'm going to do an album of her first year.
Project Life is available here through Craft House in Wellington, so I recently placed an order and look what got delivered:
I decided to go with the baby kit in neutral and also got some patterned paper for making extra embellishments etc. I ended up getting 2 packs of the page protectors - a large pack of Pages A-G and a small pack of the others. I also couldn't resist the month dividers.
I set up the first page to see what it would look like. I see what others have commented, that it can get a bit 'same same' using nothing but the kit, so have decided to use other colours as well and will make use of other patterned paper and supplies I have around home:
I made journaling cards using Papertrey Ink stamps and dies and some My Mind's Eye paper:

Birthday wreath
You know those times when you get a really good idea for a card or project? Unfortunately it doesn't happen to me that often, but I had a sudden flash of inspiration when I was winding up some button twine on my fingers the other day.
Hmm, that looks like a wreath. And here it is:
Supplies (PTI unless otherwise noted)
Paper - stamper's select white, limeade ice, aqua mist pattern pack
Stamps - Ruby Rose, Natural Beauties, Fillable Frames 10
Ink - Amuse
Accessories - button twine, brad, sewing machine

Birthday princess
A friend of mine always jokes that she's a bit of a princess, so I couldn't have found a better image for her birthday card this month. Love the images in the Tremendous Treats series. Colouring them is incredibly relaxing.
I don't usually decorate the insides of my cards (too lazy I'm afraid) but couldn't resist adding this little cake image as well. Happy birthday Williamena!
Supplies (PTI unless otherwise noted)
Paper - stamper's select white, lemonade ice, aqua mist pattern pack
Stamps - Tremendous Treats: Birthday, Tiny Treats
Ink - Memento Tuxedo black
Accessories - copic markers, paper doily, rhinestones, satin ribbon, sewing machine

Ruby Rose
I couldn't resist Dawn McVey's new set Ruby Rose, even though I do have a few floral stamp sets. Cute images that can be layered and combined. Here's a birthday card:
Supplies (PTI unless otherwise noted)
Paper - stamper's select white, pure poppy, ripe avocado, melon berry pattern pack
Stamps - Ruby Rose, Garden Variety II, Take Note
Ink - Amuse
Accessories - Rhinestones, Doodlebug glitter, scor-tape sheets
And I also made a matching notepad to give as a gift. I used my Doodlebug glitter to decorate the centre panel. Not very easy to spot..
But up close it's pretty sparkly!

Back to cards...
It's been a while since I made cards - just felt like a bit of a break was needed. But I was on a roll last weekend and churned out 4. Just realised they all use pretty much the same colour scheme. Think I'm trying to channel spring and get out of the winter slump!
This first card uses Rosie Posie which I love even more now that it's a 2 step set. My shading with copics was never up to this standard :)
Supplies (PTI unless otherwise noted)
Paper - rustic cream
Stamps - Rosie Posie, Rosie Posie Step 2, Ruby Rose
Ink - Amuse
Accessories - paper doily, foam tape

Knitting
I've been doing some more knitting for my little niece who is due in September. This cardigan nearly drove me crazy. The pattern is not that difficult, but it's almost impossible to unpick and find your way again if you make a mistake. But it's finally finished and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
This is one of those patterns where you knit the back and fronts in one piece and then divide when you get to the armholes which is what I'm doing here:
And here is the finished cardigan - so cute:
Supplies
Paper - PTI stamper's select white,
Stamps - PTI
