Paper windmills

Do you remember these from when you were a kid? 
I've been having fun making some paper windmills. Or pinwheels if you prefer. Run with them or blow on them and watch them spin.

I found a template on line and was contemplating cutting them out, but then discovered this great svg file courtesy of Heather Bailey and Denise Hill:

Well, a card is bound to help. This is one I recently sent a friend who was going through a tough week. Used my copics to colour the truck and added some stickles for that touch of glimmer:

Packaging

It's that time of year when you need simple but effective packaging ideas. I've just packed up a birthday present for a friend and made a 'box in a bag' using this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I just altered the size to fit my gift. It was very easy and I'm pleased with the result (and I think my friend will be too!) I used double sided designer series paper from SU which works really well:
