It's that time of year when you need simple but effective packaging ideas. I've just packed up a birthday present for a friend and made a 'box in a bag' using this tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. I just altered the size to fit my gift. It was very easy and I'm pleased with the result (and I think my friend will be too!) I used double sided designer series paper from SU which works really well:
And a view looking from the top:
Supplies
Paper - SU baja breeze, rose red, Cutie Pie DSP
Accessories - scor tape, apron lace punch, making memories ribbon, hole punch, white gel pen, curved tab svg file
This is just adorable! I thought it was a real (as in leather/cloth) type bag and was thinking about what an awesome seamstress you were, too! I love the colors used in this striped pattern.....Very pretty. I'm sure she will love it!
ReplyDeleteWowza!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful gift bag! That's a gift in itself!
Ooh, this is cool packaging! Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow - this is really neat! Love that great cotton ribbon to go with; this is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteTHis is so neat I havent seen it before !!
ReplyDeleteI"ll be needing this at Christmas!!!
At first I thought this was a sewn fabric bag - It is absolutely adorable. like how you used the tab at the top to insert the ribbon and the colour choices are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI think that the packaging is just as important as the gift... beautiful!
