I was so inspired by Dawn's latest colour challenge that I made a second card. This one's a baby card as I wanted to use a cute bird button I bought a few years ago in Nepal. No idea what it's made of, but the shape really appealed.
I sewed two pieces of ribbon together and then gathered them for a pleated look. They're layered over a piece of grosgrain. I didn't intend to have quite so many layers of cardstock but after I attached the ribbon to the blue piece I realised it needed to be hidden, so I added the brown layer, then needed something to separate it from the card base - well you get the picture! The sentiment is from the incredibly useful Mega Mixed Messages from Papertrey Ink.
Here's my card:
Supplies
Paper - SU chocolate chip, baja breeze
Stamps - PTI mega mixed messages
Ink - SU chocolate chip
Accessories - button from stash, making memories buttercup ribbon selection, foam mounting tape, EK success scallop punch
Very cute :)
ReplyDeleteCute duck and ribbon elements. Way to rock Dawn's color combo.
