I've been making a few floral cards recently. Just dug out an old set by Stampin UP called A Rose is a Rose, I think. It's a 2 step set which produces some quite nice dimensional images. I could make some more of these in a variety of colours and package them up as gifts. Now there's an idea!

Birthday frenzy
I've made about 4 birthday cards in the last week. This is another one which features Rosie Posie. Flat for easy mailing. Tried a different colour scheme which I quite like.

Rosie Posie
I love roses, so it's probably no surprise I have a few stamp sets with rose images. Here's yet another birthday card with Rosie Posie. Love this set! As you can probably tell, I'm stocking up on some birthday cards.

Stamp-a-faire camp card set challenge
I wasn't planning to play along with this challenge, but I just loved Jess Witty's wrapped butterfly card set so much I decided I needed to make one myself. Pretty much followed her design and colours. I thought the butterfly seals were such a lovely idea and I can't wait to send a card and use one!
Here's my set:
The glassine bag wrap design Jess used wasn't big enough to take my envelopes, so I used Betsy's wrap design. Love the way you can see a peek of the cards through the bag:
And while I was watching some videos, I whipped up a few jars of grapefruit marmalade. Can't wait to have some for breakfast - yum!

Stamp-a-faire projects
Woke up early, so thought I might as well start with some SAF projects. Great fun to watch the various videos and decide what to tackle.
Here are a couple of cards so far:
Morning make-n-take
Ribbon techniques challenge
Took me ages to do the flowers - I either kept burning them too much or not getting enough 'curl' in the petals. I managed to drop one in the wax, but quite like the extra dimension it gives!

Stamp-a-faire summer camp
Feels strange to be talking about a 'summer' camp in the middle of winter, but I'm all ready to go for the big day tomorrow over at Papertrey Ink. I've prepped some materials and cleaned my desk.
No crafty friends close by, so I'll be home alone tomorrow, but plan to skype with my friend Pattie in Texas. Really looking forward to a fun day!

Hello friend
If you can bear it, here is another hexagon card. This was inspired by a great quilt I saw on Pinterest - the Johanna Quilt from Garnet Hill.
And here is my card:
I'd love to also have a go at making a similar quilt one day, but that might take a bit longer to create!

Sunshine
Staying with the sunshine theme, here's a card which uses some of the leftovers from my recent ATC project. I have my eye on Ppaertrey's Hello Sunshine stamp set, but in the meantime, I've created my own sunshine using some rays I cut with my cricut and clouds cut with PTI cloud dies. Roll on summer!

More hexagons
On a bit of a roll with hexagon cards at the moment. Another quick, easy to mail card using Happy Hexagons from PTI. I cut out the hexagons using my cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot software. Love this sunny colour scheme. Sure to brighten anyone's day.

Birdie best wishes
I've been having a bit of a clear out, trying to use up old paper and stickers that I've been hoarding storing for a while. Recently I've been more restrained as far as buying patterned paper is concerned, mainly because I still have a few pads to use up! I have such good intentions when I buy a pack of paper, but have usually had enough of it about half way through.
These are some remnants from Basic Grey's Curio collection. My Aunt is very fond of birds, so this will be the perfect card for her.

ATC
Time for another ATC card. I made 18 of these for a swap next week at the Altered Book Club. I was invited along to the Club - not really my thing, I thought, as I don't do much altered art. But about 16 get together every month or couple of months, have a coffee catch up and swap ATC's. Not an altered book in sight! The theme for this month's swap is 'weather'. I immediately thought of a wonderful sunny day - must be winter!

Another card set
I've been catching up on some of the videos from PTI's Stamp-a-Faire day and decided to have a go at a few more projects. This is another card set, using Betsy Veldman's design from this video. I don't have any of the edgers dies, so just did a simple rounded corner instead.
They'll be packaged in a decorated glassine bag. A nice gift to have on hand!

Happy hexagons
When I saw this cute mini hexagon set last month at PTI, I couldn't resist it. One of the great people on the forum sent it to me - thanks Linda! So the last few days, I've been churning out hexagon cards. Here's one - a simple and easy to mail card to boot!

And another one
Since I was on a roll with Rosie Posie, thought I might as well make another card while I was at it. This has the kind of sentiment that can be used for all kinds of occasions - maybe a birthday or another special occasion, or to assure someone you're thinking of them. Hope it will be a useful one to have on hand for those unexpected occasions.

I [heart} Rosie Posie
I only just recently acquired Rosie Posie, but it's fast becoming one of my favourites.
One of my cousins in Vienna is celebrating a birthday next month, so I whipped up a card I hope will brighten her day. I don't have any German stamps, so used a computer generated sentiment and then just stamped the frame around it. That's the beauty of clear stamps!

Cookarty weekend
A couple of weeks ago I attended a craft weekend at my local scrapbook store. It was the Cookarty weekend which I described in this post.
There were 15 of us creating together and enjoying learning lots of new techniques. We put together books which celebrate our love of things retro and cooking. Here we are after our dinner on Saturday night:
We received a kit of materials for the weekend - all kinds of vintage findings, pieces of cardstock, paper and fabric to use on our projects.

And we took our packets of materials and turned them into something like this:
The book covers are made from table mats!
I've made lots of
pockets for holding recipe cards. I'm planning to include some of my
all time favourite recipes, particularly the ones that my mother used to
make.
The page on the right has a wax background. We used beeswax and its smells lovely!
I had lots of fun decorating a range of pages and making little embellishments.
We also had an ATC (Artist Trading Card) and recipe swap.
